My nature box is alive! - outdoor play

on Thu, 16/06/2011 - 20:49

Our latest adventure outside was inspired by my playfriend 'Sun Hat & Wellie Boots' . We've upcycled an applejuice box into an "I spy you nature - box". My daughter loved the making of the box, to bring it outside and study the natural material found during her tour. Also I've enjoyed this outdoor play as much as she did. Living and learning together with my child is one of the greatest experiences in my life. Do you hear the laughter of my innerchild?

I think you will feel our excitement in this article......

"The box became ALIVE."

Giving children a chance to play without (adult)agenda

on Mon, 13/06/2011 - 14:09

There are 1001 ways how to educate a child. Every way is good, because it has been developed to create unique meetings or activities with children. This article is about how I play and learn with children.

Creëren met bloemetjes - geleitaart!

on Sat, 11/06/2011 - 23:50

on Sat, 11/06/2011 - 22:50

Creative play for children with flowers - jelly cake!

on Sat, 11/06/2011 - 22:33

We are ready for mrs SUMMER to enter our country, our city, our house, our bathroom and kitchen! (?)

During one of our after- school adventures outside, Chanel collected yellow and purple flowers. When her senses were filled up again with the beautiful love of mother nature, we've brought them home. They invaded first our bathtub and later ended up inside of a jelly-cake!

Is your curiosity tickled by these sentences? Then come with me to show you how we' ve conserved the public park flowers into a piece of home made-art.

Up to the mountains - fresh lungs!

on Fri, 03/06/2011 - 17:40

My daughter and I are living in a cute and small appartment, right in the middle of the centre. Great for shopping, drink and eat possibilities, but no garden or balcony. So many times, we play in our 'backyard': The mountains surrounding Lecco.

We can appreciate beauty and look as far as possible, spotting our environment where we live, play and have FUN!

Wonderlijk leren in Reggio Emilia - verslag studieweek

on Wed, 01/06/2011 - 14:23

Reggio Emilia Approach - the Wonder of early Learning

on Mon, 30/05/2011 - 23:14

Reggio Emilia is a town in Emilia Romagna, a province in the North of Italy. A famous food region, since they make the balsamico vinegar and the parmerggiano cheese. Besides the food, Reggio Emilia is visited every year by thousands of childhood experts, coming from all over the world. I was one of them last october 2010 when I got the wonderful oppurtunity to dive profound into the so called Reggio Emilia approach.

I visited several infant - toddler centers / asili nidi (0-3 years old) and preschools / asili (3-6 years old), talked to the educational staff and shared opinions with my collegues coming from 29 different countries!

"Reggio Emilia’s in depth studyweek was a wonder of learning to me."
